Partnerships
Western Living Culture considers collaborations that fit its interest in cultural customs, craft, foodways, places and dress. Proposals should describe the subject, audience, format and intended placement so the editorial and commercial parts are clear from the outset.
Possible collaborations
We may consider clearly scoped cultural features, commissioned explanatory material, event or collection introductions, and partner placements across the site. Each proposal is assessed for relevance, reader value and fit with the publication’s subject; a proposal does not guarantee publication.
Clear labels
Paid, commissioned or otherwise partner-supported material is labelled in a way that distinguishes it from independent editorial work. Partner placements are also identified as such. Labels do not replace careful editing or make an unsupported claim acceptable.
Start a conversation
Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Describe the proposed subject, format, timing and placement, and disclose any relevant commercial relationship. We do not invent audience figures, performance promises or endorsements.
Culture lives in the details people repeat
A threshold, a table setting or a familiar way of welcoming someone can tell a careful observer a great deal about place and habit.
